Mechanic

We are looking for a skilled, reliable, and efficient Mechanic to join our service team in Karaikudi, a rapidly developing city in Tamil Nadu known for its strong transportation connectivity, growing automobile sector, and expanding commercial activity. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in servicing private vehicles, SUVs, and light commercial vehicles commonly used across regional and highway routes in and around the Chettinad region.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical faults in multiple vehicle brands, ensuring safe and reliable performance for both city and highway travel.
• Perform regular servicing, oil changes, brake checks, wheel alignment, and preventive maintenance for vehicles operating across routes such as Karaikudi–Madurai and Karaikudi–Trichy.
• Identify faulty parts and replace components using genuine spare parts to maintain vehicle efficiency and safety.
• Maintain accurate service records, repair histories, and job cards for individual customers and commercial fleet vehicles.
• Ensure the workshop remains clean, organized, and compliant with workplace safety and environmental standards.
• Explain repair requirements, maintenance schedules, and service costs clearly to customers in Tamil (basic English communication is an added advantage).

Qualifications & Skills

• ITI / Diploma in Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Familiarity with vehicle brands such as Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra, Tata, Hyundai, Toyota, and Ashok Leyland.
• Ability to use diagnostic scanners, hydraulic lifts, and modern automotive repair tools effectively.
• Strong troubleshooting skills, technical expertise, physical stamina, and a responsible work ethic.

Experience

• 2–5 years of experience in multi-brand workshops, authorized service centers, or reputed automobile garages preferred.
• Knowledge of BS-VI engines, CRDi technology, EV basics, and modern vehicle electronics is an added advantage.
• Experience handling commercial vehicles, tourist vehicles, or regional transport fleets is highly valued.
