We are looking for a creative, skilled, and story-driven Video Editor to join our content team in Karaikudi, a culturally vibrant city in Tamil Nadu renowned for its Chettinad heritage, timeless architecture, traditional cuisine, and evolving urban development. Your role will be to create compelling visual stories that highlight Karaikudi’s unique blend of culture, lifestyle, tourism, education, and modern growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit raw footage into high-quality videos for tourism campaigns, local business promotions, cultural events, educational institutions, and regional development initiatives.
• Apply professional color grading, smooth transitions, cinematic effects, sound design, and multilingual text overlays (Tamil & English; regional dialect knowledge is a plus).
• Create engaging short-form content (Reels/Shorts) featuring Chettinad mansions, local cuisine, temples, street life, festivals, and cultural traditions, along with long-form storytelling videos.
• Collaborate with photographers, content creators, marketers, and branding teams to maintain a visually consistent and engaging storytelling style aligned with Karaikudi’s identity.
• Manage multiple editing projects simultaneously, including promotional campaigns, documentary-style features, event coverage, and institutional content.
• Ensure all content authentically represents the heritage, traditions, and modern transformation of Karaikudi in an engaging and visually appealing way.

Qualifications & Skills

• Degree/Diploma in Video Editing, Mass Communication, Visual Media, or a related field preferred.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve; knowledge of After Effects and motion graphics is an added advantage.
• Strong storytelling abilities with excellent understanding of pacing, transitions, audio synchronization, and cinematic composition.
• Familiarity with social media formats such as 9:16, 1:1, and 16:9 along with current digital content trends.
• Ability to edit and subtitle videos in Tamil and English effectively (knowledge of Chettinad regional culture is highly valued).

Experience

• 2–5 years of experience in video editing, preferably in tourism, digital marketing, documentary filmmaking, branding, or social media content creation.
• Strong portfolio showcasing creative storytelling, promotional videos, cultural content, or cinematic editing projects.
